Xuan Thien – Cu M’gar hi-tech application agricultural zone was invested in construction in Ea Kpam commune (Cu M’gar district). The project has a total investment of VND 705.6 billion, 107.6 hectares in scale, with the main objectives: Testing and selecting high-yielding, clean and high-quality crop varieties; building a demonstration model of high-tech agricultural production and technology transfer; forming a center for processing, preserving and consuming agricultural products; forming a learning attraction for agricultural knowledge and ecotourism; linking the training for officials and farmers about knowledge of high-tech agriculture.

According to the plan, the project will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2023, then by the first quarter of 2024, it will bring high quality products into the market. In the future, Xuan Thien Group aims to build “Xuan Thien – Cu M’gar hi-tech agricultural zone” to become the original breeding center (seedlings and livestock breeds) of the Central Highlands.
It is known that the above project is the first step in the complex projects of high-tech food production, breeding and processing of the Group investing in Dak Lak province, with a total investment capital of over USD 1 billion (equivalent to VND 25,764 billion). After forming, annually the products created in the project chain of complexes include: 155 thousand tons of food processed from pork; 568 thousand tons of finished products from fruits, vegetables; 1 million tons of feed; 600 thousand tons of organic microbiological fertilizers; forming a total herd of 45,600 sows and providing 1 million finishers/year, 170,000 breeding pigs/year, 2.2 million seedlings/year to meet the consumption needs of the domestic market and export. In particular, in the project chain, a modern, smart logistics zone will be established in Buon Ma Thuot City. In addition, the project chain also has premium fruit juice products, contributing to the promotion of Dak Lak’s image with international friends, contributing to the development of the province.

When completed, the annual revenue of the project chain is about VND 33,000 billion/year; the annual local tax payment is about VND 2,000 billion; attracting about 10,000 workers in the locality and its vicinity; purchasing agricultural products of local farmers to make raw materials for fruit juice production and fodder production. At the same time, with the great investment in advanced technology, the project chain will create high quality products, taking advantage of the by-products of this project as input materials for the next project, so the project is both economical, effective and environmentally friendly.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien emphasized: The hi-tech agricultural zone will contribute significantly to the development of agriculture in the direction of ecology, modernity, sustainability; improve the added value of agricultural products; strongly promote the restructuring of the agricultural sector associated with the transformation of the growth model and contribute to the socio-economic development of Dak Lak province in particular and the Central Highlands in general. Especially, contributing to the implementation of the socio-economic development policy and guidelines of the Central Highlands in general and Dak Lak in particular, as in the Conclusions No. 12-KL/TW on October 24, 2011, No. 10-KL/TW on January 18, 2022 on the development of the Central Highlands.

After the project was started up, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development suggested that Xuan Thien Group will continue to fulfill its commitments as well as the objectives and plans of the project. Besides, it is recommended that the leaders of all levels of government continue to pay attention to support the implementation of the sustainable development strategy of Xuan Thien Group; especially to create a favorable environment to firmly and effectively build and develop production chains between enterprises and farmers
