Xuan Thien Ea Soup Solar Power Plant Project phase 1 has nearly two million solar panels, capacity 600 MWac/831 MWp, 500 kV/1,200 MVA substation and 22.2 km of 500kV line, with a total investment of nearly 20,000 billion VND, electricity output of 1.5 billion kWh/year. According to the investor, with the existing capacity, this is the largest solar power plant in Southeast Asia.
With a capacity of 2x600MVA, this substation serves to connect and relieve the capacity for 600Mwac of phase 1 and is ready to serve a part of the capacity of about 600/1,400MW of phase 2 of the project.
The representative of Xuan Thien Group said that the project was started in April 2020, after completing two phases, at the end of 2021, early 2022, the project has a total capacity of 2,000 MWac/2,800 MWp, 500 kV/2,400 MVA substation, supplying about 5 billion kWh/year to the national power system.
Xuan Thien Ea Sup solar power project is implemented on the border land of Ea Sup, Dak Lak province. This place is an arid land with a harsh climate in a particularly difficult area, very low land use efficiency and people’s lives are limited. The project implemented here helps people to stabilize their lives, contributes to protect border’s security, promote land use efficiency, add to the national clean energy sources, create jobs for hundreds of thousands local workers, alson contributes to the State budget of trillions of VND each year.
