The investor’s representative who directly signed the contract was Mr. Mai Xuan Huong – General Director of Xuan Thien Nghia Hung Joint Stock Company, Xuan Thien Group. The equipment supplier’s representative was Mr. Patrizi Nicola – General Director of Danieli in Vietnam.
The event was also attended by Mr. Pham Toan Vuong – General Director of the Vietnam Agricultural and Rural Development Bank ( Agribank ) – and representatives of the credit institutions that arranged funding for the project, including Mr. Nguyen Dai Nam – Deputy Chief of the Board of Directors’ Office of Military Bank (MB) – and Mr. Pham Trung Son – Director of MB Ninh Binh Branch.
Danieli is one of the world’s leading corporations in metallurgical technology and equipment, with over 100 years of experience. Under the agreement, Danieli will design a production line for Xuan Thien based on the integration of advanced technologies, optimizing production efficiency, product quality, and operating costs.
The highlight of the project is the electric arc furnace (EAF) steelmaking technology combined with Endless MIDA continuous casting and rolling, which allows for the direct utilization of the heat from the steel billet, reducing the need for reheating, minimizing material loss, and improving production efficiency. The production line is integrated with an intelligent control system and a high level of automation, ensuring stable and consistent product quality.

According to the projected technological specifications, the new production line could increase production efficiency by approximately 2-3%, saving about 30kWh of electricity per ton of finished steel, equivalent to 75 million kWh/year when operating at full capacity, contributing to reduced production costs and enhanced competitiveness.
Xuan Thien Group focuses on producing high-strength construction steel, earthquake-resistant steel, and high-ductility steel to meet the stringent technical requirements of high-rise buildings, large-span bridges, sea bridges, tunnels, hydroelectric power plants, pumped-storage hydroelectric power plants, and other key infrastructure projects.
At the same time, the new production line is also capable of producing several types of high-quality steel for the mechanical engineering industry, contributing to the replacement of imported products.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Mai Xuan Huong, representative of Xuan Thien Nghia Hung Joint Stock Company, emphasized: “Our view is that when we invest, we must choose the best technology in the world, not chase after outdated technology.”

We place particular emphasis on product quality, production efficiency, and long-term competitiveness. Xuan Thien Steel must meet the most stringent technical requirements, especially for earthquake-resistant steel, steel for key projects, and a portion of steel for mechanical manufacturing. We aspire not only to produce steel but also to contribute to elevating the Vietnamese steel industry.”

According to the plan, Danieli Group is committed to putting the production line into operation and having products available in the first quarter of 2028, three months earlier than the schedule projected in the investment plan.
“The signing of the contract with Danieli further affirms Xuan Thien Group’s development strategy: investing in world-leading technology, energy saving, high automation, creating high-quality products, contributing to enhancing competitiveness and promoting the development of Vietnam’s steel industry in a modern and sustainable direction,” a representative of Xuan Thien Group shared.
